UPCOMING EXTENSION PROGRAMS FOR JULY

Beekeeping: Pest and Disease Management – July 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the UF/IFAS Honey Bee Research and Extension Laboratory (1881 Natural Area Dr., Gainesville, FL 32611)

The registration fee is $20.00. Participants must register online. Please pre-register by July 6. Class is limited to 30 participants. There will be no refunds for the registration fee.


Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance Workshop – July 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Individuals seeking recertification may attend the class for 4 hours if pre-registered on Eventbrite. The registration fee is $30.00 per person (includes lunch). Participants must register online. Please pre-register by July 8. A late fee of $10.00 will be applied for registrations after July 8, or if paying at the door. There will be no refunds for the registration fee.

Food Preservation 101: Canning and Freezing – July 14, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. & repeated from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This is a Zoom webinar.


The registration fee for both sessions will be $15.00. Participants must register online by July 11.


2022 Livestock & Forages Field Day - July 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Santa Fe River Ranch (29220 NW 122 Street, Alachua, FL 32615). Flyer attached.

Please join us for the 2022 Livestock & Forages Field Day! We are excited to offer an educational opportunity for Florida livestock and pasture producers where we will have equipment demonstrations, networking opportunities, and presentations from UF/IFAS Specialists and county agents. Topics will include soil mapping for precision management, heifer selection and conditioning, electric fencing, and variable rate fertilizer application. You won't want to miss updates on the newest information in management!
